Music Together® Supportive Family Class

Join us for a unique family music experience in our small, supportive Music Together® class especially for children with special needs. Research studies suggest that music facilitates cognitive and emotional growth and stimulates social interaction, and playing music together is a wonderful family bonding experience. Through guided musical experiences in weekly 45-minute classes, parents and children will find new ways to explore music and express themselves.

At Music Together, music is learned through developmentally appropriate activities that support and respect the learning styles of all participants. Everyone is encouraged to participate at their own developmental level. You and your child will become part of a community of families sharing songs, instrument play, and movement activities in a relaxed, non-performance-oriented setting. In addition to ten weeks of fun, musically rich classes, you will receive an illustrated songbook and recordings of the music used in class so you can continue the family music-making at home.

The teacher for this class is an experienced special education classroom teacher who has also been trained in the Music Together philosophy. (Please note: this is not a music therapy class.)

Our Supportive Family class is for children with disabilities ages birth through early elementary. You are encouraged to enroll siblings as well, and sibling discounts apply. Registration is limited in this class to ensure the best experience for everyone, so register today!
